CCQS was established in year 2000 to provide expert advice and support for CE marking and safety of machinery and consumer products.
In year 2001 CCQS was appointed by UK government as a Notified Body for Machinery Directive, Low Voltage Directive and EMC Directive. The Notified Body appointments have been maintained to the present. The company has developed a strong reputation in machinery safety consultancy and assistance with CE marking for manufacturing industry.
Over the years, CCQS has been asked to undertake various projects related to theatres and theatre equipment. We realised that other than insurance companies, who have a rather different focus, and companies providing general health and safety advice, there are very few sources of competent technical safety advice to theatres and their service providers. CCQS has set up its theatre inspection division to address this need.
In 2013 CCQS gained an internationally recognised UKAS accreditation to ISO 17020 Bodies performing Inspection for its Notified Body activities and also, specifically, for inspection of Theatre machinery and related services. CCQS is currently the only UK company with a specific ISO 17020 accreditation
CCQS main office is in Ealing, London, but we have technicians and engineers working from home offices in other locations around the country.
